Regarding the provisions related to intellectual property in the Copyright Law, please ensure that all students understand and strictly comply with them to avoid violating the law.

1. Authors have the exclusive rights to reproduce and publicly transmit their works. Therefore, without the consent or authorization of the copyright holder, or unless it falls under the reasonable use provisions of Articles 44 to 65 of the Copyright Law, casually scanning, photocopying, downloading, or uploading others' works constitutes an infringement.
2. The aforementioned "reasonable use" means that if students scan or photocopy books from domestic or foreign sources, for example, the entire book or the majority of it, or engage in fragmented scanning or photocopying, or randomly download or upload others' papers, these acts exceed the scope of reasonable use and would constitute copyright infringement. If the copyright holder pursues legal action, the student may be liable for both criminal and civil legal responsibilities.
3. To avoid legal violations, students should use legitimate textbooks (including second-hand books) and refrain from posting on local social platforms (such as Dcard) seeking PDF e-books or sharing foreign infringement websites/URLs for "forum friends" or classmates to search and download illegal e-books, to prevent violations of the law and infringement on others' copyrights.
4. Recently, there have been cases where students bought counterfeit well-known engineering calculators. Students should ensure they confirm whether the brand's official local distributor is selling high-priced learning equipment or products during group purchases. They should contact the official website or purchase from known distributors to avoid being scammed, resulting in personal property or rights damage, or even legal liabilities.
5. The Student Affairs Office on the first floor of the Administration Building offers a free second-hand book donation event. Students are encouraged to donate any unwanted second-hand books (textbooks) to help those in need.
6. For other intellectual property regulations or clarifications, students can visit the Ministry of Economic Affairs' Intellectual Property Office website for various campus-related promotional resources.
